MGSD Inclement Weather Protocols for Thursday, February 20, 2025 - Remote Learning Day

Good evening, MGSD families,

Out of an abundance of caution, Mooresville Graded School District will implement our remote learning plan for tomorrow, Thursday, February 20, 2025. Several forecasts show below freezing overnight temperatures, as well as snowfall between 6:00 am and 9:00 am, causing potentially dangerous conditions during morning commutes. We realize there are no guarantees with the weather; however, we decided to make the call tonight in an effort to give our families time to prepare. Please note that all learning will be asynchronous which does not require virtually meeting with the teacher.

• Kindergarten - 3rd grade:  Students should have their inclement weather packet to work on for Thursday, February 20.

• 4th - 12th grade: Students need to log into CANVAS and check their teacher’s ParentSquare feed for additional information on assignments for Thursday, February 20.

Our Before and After School Program will also be closed on Thursday, February 20.  In addition, the following activities will be canceled:

• All extracurricular activities 

• All evening activities and events

• Driver Education
