Hello Mooresville community!

Come enjoy our annual MGSD Welcome Back to School Picnic in the Park!  We love this event because it is the first district event of the new school year for the entire community! It's the perfect opportunity to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and get excited for a fantastic year of learning. We'll have fun activities for the kids and plenty of time for parents to chat with staff.  Bring your appetite because our district leadership team will be grilling hotdogs and serving dinner! 

Curious about the amazing fun we are going to have?  We're not giving anything away, but we might find ourselves in the creek catching critters because we do love SCIENCE.  And it's possible the kids will code robots to go from their house to their school.  MGSD believes strongly in the ARTS so don't be surprised if ​there is an opportunity to play the piano with a banana (with the help of Makey Makey, of course).  Can you guess ​any of the other fun activities we have planned for this picnic, because we have a full schedule! ☺️

While this event is mostly food and fun, we also want to provide our families with any answers they might need help with as we get this new school year underway. Haven't been able to complete your child's annual registration using the new Infinite Campus system? We've got your back!  Need help with how to use the Lunch PrePay App or have questions about the Free & Reduced Meal application? School Nutrition will be there to help. We will have tables set up to assist you with these back-to-school items.

While this event is completely free of charge, we do have three asks of you:

1. Please use the RSVP to help us plan for food (you are still welcome to attend if you accidentally forget!),
2. Come have fun, and 
3. Work with us to make this the best year yet for our Mooresville kids because #WeAreMOORESVILLE! 💙
