Join MGSD for KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION and some COOL STEAM activities!

Hello MGSD families!

Are you ready for some COOL STEAM activities?  On January 12, 2026, get ready for an Arctic blast as we enjoy fun activities with a polar flair!  This STEAM even is extra special because it will also be our Class of 2039 Kindergarten Registration event. Because we know how much fun our STEAM events are, we decided to make it a fun event for both current students and any rising Kindergarten students in our district!  This event will have fun activities for all ages in our Mooresville community.  Not a rising Kindergartner?  We have you covered with all kinds of arctic animal themed STEAM activities.  If you are a rising Kindergartner, we will still have the fun STEAM activities, but we will also have principals and teachers from our elementary schools for you to meet. Also, parents can go ahead and register their rising Kindergartner and get an official MGSD Class of 2039 yard sign to proudly display!  For more information about Kindergarten registration and what you need to bring, please visit our Kindergarten Registration page at MGSD Kindergarten Registration.

We do have two important asks of our families:

1. RSVP using the RSVP button right here in ParentSquare so that we can properly plan for our SNACK table!
2. If you know someone who has a rising Kinder but does not have a student in the district already, please share this information with them.  They can reach out to Tanae McLean by emailing tmclean@mgsd.k12.nc.us to let us know they are new rising Kinder parents, and then we can add them to ParentSquare!
